Days without her boys were often lonely, especially at home. The red haired woman was not used to the household being quiet, and miracle came down from the heaven when it is. Usually, Kushina won’t mind, but it was becoming uneasy and very uncomfortable, it was basically driving her crazy. Then thoughts rushed on her mind, most of them were thinking that she should have partake herself to that mission.
She had to admit, Konoha provides the entertainment she needed, but, as days passed by, she was becoming tired of it. People were usually busy, missions, civilian life, etc. Her old friends were strangely nowhere in sight. How she wished Mikoto was with her right now — precious time wouldn’t be wasted. They would have their usual tea time and then a little chit chat…
Gaze turned to the familiar streets where in the past, the 「Tomato 」girl would run away from the constant teasing and name calling of her fellow Academy students. Chuckling, Kushina also remembered one girl who actually challenged her —— enough to call her attention. Though she casually forgot her name, she couldn’t forget how the girl looked, and how disappointed her features show everytime she was beaten.
I wonder where’s that girl now…
Sighing, the 「Habanero 」settled to the dango shop, ordering two sticks of dango along with tea to freshen up. Reluctantly and slowly, the red haired woman ate on her meal, hopes up on someone talking or approaching her.
“I do not know Kushina.” Mikoto sighs and lets her eyes settle on her friend,“ I did not accomplish anything, not even the morning dishes…”
“Eh?” As the red haired woman placed the tea set on the table, immediately her hands touched the raven haired’s forehead, but, her temperature was normal, no signs of sickness.
“You aren’t sick…ya know? Did something happen? Did Fugu-face did something to you ‘ttebane?”
Head turned upon the bright, familiar voice that greeted the woman, a soft, and warm smile curving her thin lips as a faint blush crept on her cheeks. On this special day, Kushina wanted nothing grand, but a simple greeting like this from her beloved son would suffice.
